Customer Service/Small Business Ops/Office Manager

GENERAL

We're a small e-commerce business in Sutton, MA. We primarily buy and sell poultry and plumbing supplies. We are looking to hire a customer service rep/administrative assistant/Small business ops dispatcher full time (Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5PM).

PRIMARY TASKS

-Taking orders via email and phone (Not a job where you'll be dealing with disgruntled customers all day. We have excellent service and products so most of our customers are very happy )

-Responding to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints

-Administrative work (depositing checks, writing checks, organizing data in spreadsheets, pulling reports, etc)

JOB SETTINGS

-We have a big warehouse and small office inside that warehouse that you would be working in.

- You will be around the same 6-ish people everyday. Most people have worked here for awhile. Everyone gets along well and is supportive. You will feel welcome here.

-We are very casual. No dress code. No drama. No BS.

-Dogs and other random animals are sometimes on site because we love them. All well-trained animals are welcome!

WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS JOB

-#1 requirement (and pretty much the only thing we're strict about): Able to show up on time and be here every single work day no matter what. We're a small team. Our operations are significantly impacted when people call out. People rarely call out here as a result. We cannot stress enough how important reliability is here. If scheduling flexibility is important to you, this isn't the job for you. If you value getting out early on Friday's or taking off work on nice days to go the beach or something, this isn't the job for you. If you have an emergency or are genuinely sick, we will of course be understanding, but this should happen a few times a year not monthly. This job is perfect for someone who is routine-oriented and enjoys a mundane 9-5 type schedule.

-Strong attention to detail and very organized.

-Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

-Looking for stable long-term employment.

-Strong people skills - comfortable communicating via email and phone in a pleasant manner (cannot have a bad attitude - good vibes only).

-Proficient in Excel OR willing to learn.

-NOT a requirement, but if you are looking to grow professionally, we are very open and eager to promote you to managerial-level, 6-figure tasks or roles. Must prove that you can handle and master the basics first though.

COMPENSATION

-Starting pay is $21/hour - We are happy to increase your pay within months and give you more responsibilities if you are performing well.

-Each employee receives an additional $277 every pay period (every 2-weeks) for health insurance. If you already have insurance, you can pocket the $277.

-401K with company match. Must work here for a year before participating in this.

-1 week vacation every year you work here, up to 3 weeks (for 3 years of work or more). Must work here for a year before receiving first paid week of vacation.

-We, of course, offer paid holidays and we do not expect anyone to ever work on a holiday, come in early, stay late, or work weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21 per hour + $3.50 per hour ($277/80 hours) for health insurance (if you already have insurance you can pocket this)
