Shipping and Receiving & Shop Support

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented team member to take charge of shipping and receiving responsibilities while providing support on the shop floor as needed.

This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, managing multiple tasks, and contributing to smooth daily operations across departments. The right candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Prior shipping and receiving experience is required. Familiarity with international shipping procedures, ERP systems (such as Global Shop), and shipping platforms like UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager is a strong plus.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments; log materials, identify shortages, and report or reject damaged items

Compare incoming shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and orders; match counts and documentation

Load and unload trucks at the receiving dock; operate forklift or hand truck as needed

Prepare and package outgoing shipments; select appropriate packing materials and affix shipping labels

Determine optimal shipping methods; coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups

Handle international shipments and customs documentation; understand shipping requirements and tariffs

Track outbound shipments and maintain organized storage areas

Maintain inventory of shipping and packing supplies

Use ERP software (such as Global Shop) to complete material transactions and update inventory

Drive company vehicle for local deliveries or to transport goods between locations

Assist with light shop duties and support production team as needed

Using blueprints, assemble purchased and machined parts into finished products

Perform simple machining operations, such as drilling and pinning, as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Prior shipping and receiving experience required

Valid driver’s license required

Forklift certification preferred

Experience with UPS Worldship and FedEx shipping systems strongly preferred

Experience with international shipping and customs documentation a plus

Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Global Shop, is highly valued

Ability to read blueprints and follow setup sheets and documentation

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4 PM
