As a assembly technician at Yardsy, your role is vital for the company's success. The assembly is where the parts are turned into a finished product. In this role, you will make a 18”x24” yard sign. The work will be done at your own workstation with certain steps done at QC stations. Working with the supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily assembly of solar signs, preparing them for shipment through careful packaging, and supporting order fulfillment by handling printing tasks and coordinating the shipping process.
Targeted Characteristics:
Detail oriented
Making a sign is a long process that has a lot of steps that require attention to detail. This includes precise alignment, cleanliness of dust/ debris, and a direct focus on the display of each sign built.
With the help of automated QC checkpoints, a worker should be able to detect a spec of dust that would lead to a ruined sign, alignment issues, and defected parts.
Patient
Making a sign is like making a model car/ figure: you have to be patient.
A assembler must be patient and take each step as they come. Rushing the process will lead to poor displays, structural issues, and a sign that Yardsy can not release.
“Handy”
As a assembler, you have to be able to work steady and precisely with your hands.
This includes working with razor blades, laying down adhesive, trimming material, etc.
