What the Ideal Candidate will do:

-Set up and operate CNC lathes.

-Setup machine for running production parts, such as tooling, load program, setting offsets, & verifying proper orientation.

-Identify and replace worn cutting inserts.

-Working knowledge of G-Code and CNC operations.

-Works closely with CNC Programmer to review/troubleshoot new CNC Machining Programs.

-Modify / adjust Mastercam files to achieve dimensional requirements.

-Use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and etc.

-Perform daily machine maintenance.

-Use of crane and loading fixtures to move parts in and out of machines.

-Perform setup and in-process documentation of critical dimensions on work piece.

-Knowledge of proper mechanical inspection practices.

-Safety training on machine operation.

Qualifications:

-Must be a U.S. Citizen.

-HS diploma or equivalent; degree in vocational trade school preferred but not required.

-Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Must have manufacturing/machine shop environment experience.

-Experience with operating CNC Lathe machines; Manual machine experience is a plus! (Bridgeports, manual lathes, etc.)

-Be able to read & understand blueprints & drawings.

-1-3 Years of experience with Mastercam including ability to program is desired.

-GD&T / ANSI Y14.5 experience required.

-Basic knowledge of G-Code & CNC operations.

-Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 environment preferred but not required.

-Must be able to read and write in English.
