We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in prototyping and producing components for our innovative medical diagnostic devices. You will manage machining projects, operate CNC equipment, ensure part quality, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our machine shop.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Program CNC machines using CAM software based on provided CAD models.
Set up and operate HAAS 3-axis vertical mills to produce precision parts primarily from plastic and aluminum.
Perform various manual machining tasks including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, and sanding.
Verify CAM program against CAD models and drawings to ensure accuracy before and during machining.
Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve desired part specifications and tolerances.
Conduct thorough inspections of machined components using precision measurement tools, verifying GD&T requirements, and documenting results.
Demonstrate the ability to achieve and verify tight tolerances, particularly in plastic machined parts.
Learn and perform assembly of components manufactured in the machine shop.
Take initiative in organizing and maintaining an efficient workflow within our small machine shop, supporting both prototyping and manufacturing needs for medical devices.
Manage assigned machining projects effectively from inception to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required:
High school diploma, GED, or graduation from a certified technical school.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist.
Proven proficiency in CAM programming.
Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
Proficiency with various precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
Basic mathematical skills relevant to machining.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight schedules and milestones.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Desired:
Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
Experience machining various types of plastics and soft metals.
Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., medical device, ISO 13485).
