We are seeking a Medical Assistant to assist providers with patient care.

Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
Record medical history, register patients and handle phones.
Assist podiatrists with procedures.
Clean and sterilize instruments and turn over treatment rooms
Perform x-rays of the foot/ankle.
Remove plaster casts and splints
Prepare injectables
Remove all post operative bandages
Measure patients for Diabetic shoes and pre fabricated inserts
Perform non-invasive vascular studies (ABI's)
Schedule surgeries with facilities
Schedule procedures such as MRI's, Venous Duplex, etc
Assist podiatrists in Long Term Care Facilities
Motivated and adaptable-can effectively work alone or diligently with others.
Receptive to change.
Requirements:
Float between three office locations in Worcester, Holden and Hudson
Travel to Long Term Care Facilities
High school diploma or GED required.
Medical assistant diploma/certification required, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
1-3 years medical assistant experience highly preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
Familiar with Athena EMR (willing to train)
People-oriented – warm, professional, and helpful attitude.
Calm and collected under pressure.
Ability to think critically and exercise sound judgement.
On time and dependable
Must be PROACTIVE at all times, organized and WILLING TO LEARN
