Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team on a contract basis to support key cellular and biochemical studies. The contractor will be responsible for the isolation and characterization of primary human (and occasionally monkey) blood cells and will contribute to compound screening efforts aimed at assessing immune cell responses.
Responsibilities: Request and manage donor blood sample logistics.Isolate cells from peripheral blood (human and monkey).Set up cultures of primary cells and treat with test compounds.Perform immune cell stimulation and/or differentiation protocols.Harvest cells and supernatants; prepare samples for downstream analysis.Conduct ELISA assays to assess effector function of test compounds.Present and analyze experimental data accurately and independently.Maintain detailed lab records and adhere to lab safety procedures.Requirements: BS or MS in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related field.3–5 years of hands-on experience in a biochemistry or cell biology lab.Strong expertise in primary cell isolation and culture.Proficiency with ELISA techniques.Familiarity with flow cytometry is desirable.Preferred: Solid knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including pipetting, sample handling, and sterile technique.Experience working with human blood-derived samples.Strong attention to cleanliness and sample integrity.Enthusiastic, proactive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
