The incumbent is expected to precept residents rotating through the
department once a week; mentors a medical student; and occasionally is
asked to deliver a didactic lecture. The incumbent is not responsible
for grading students and provides no classroom instruction. Provide
clinical care to ambulatory patients in the Adult Primary Care Clinic
and inpatient care for General Internal Medicine; Engage in Quality
Improvement Programs and initiatives in the Primary Care Practice; Make
referrals to specialists, share call coverage, and dictate and sign
reports in a timely manner; Participate in education activities with
medical students and internal medicine residents including development
of primary care curriculum, and precepting internal medicine residents.
