A Mortgage Inspection Plan (MIP) is a basic property survey that is often required by a lender during the home buying process, especially for issuing a mortgage loan. It's not a full boundary survey but rather a sketch or drawing of the property showing the location of structures (like the house, garage, fences) in relation to the property lines.
