The PC Technician Role is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity and will be located in the Westwood, Massachusetts region.How you will make an impact
Own and execute technology implementation projects
Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records
Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters
Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors
Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site
Install printers, troubleshoot and handle repairs
Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment
Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases
Dismantle, box and ship outdated equipment
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix
Help test functionality and support end users
Manage imaging and preparation for new computers Requirements - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
1+ years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Setups experience preferred
Strong familiarity with cabling
Comprehensive knowledge of Desktop Hardware
Network Cabling experience preferred
CompTIA A+ certification required
Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
