East Meadow Enterprises is seeking an experienced Truck and Equipment Mechanic to join our team for first or second shift. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tech to further grow their skills. Must be punctual, self-motivated and driven to learn and grow. We expect the successful candidate to become a valuable member of our core team. Must have a valid drivers license, CDL and Mass Hoisting license is preferred but not required.
Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
Diagnostics and repairs to on and off highway fleet
Maintaining D.O.T. compliance on our medium to heavy on-highway trucks
Perform major repairs and overhauls with proficiency and attention to detail
Must be able to work as a member of a team, work with and on multiple projects simultaneously
Assist in the maintenance and organization of our shop and parts room
Be a motivated, dependable, self-starter with little to no supervision required
Perform truck and equipment repair and maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Conduct inspections and identify necessary repairs or replacements
Repair and replace parts as needed, including engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems
Use power tools and equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Experience:
Proven experience as a Truck and Equipment Mechanic or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of truck and equipment systems
Ability to operate heavy equipment for repairs and maintenance tasks
Proficient in electrical diagnostics and repairs
Familiarity with tire service procedures and equipment
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
