RV Service Technician – Full Time
OVERVIEW
We are a well-established RV dealership and need to add to our team to accommodate the growing business demands. Looking for someone to work in the Service Department full time, performing a variety of tasks and duties having to do with repair and maintenance of RV, travel trailer, cargo trailer, and equipment trailers. This person’s duties will range from being able to demonstrate the use and function of RV systems, to identifying faults and repairing these same systems. RV repair encompasses plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, LP, appliances, metal work, etc… We also do RV collision repair, water damage repair, roof recoating and replacement. This person will also be working with sales department as needed to prepare trailers for customer delivery. The environment is not corporate, we are family owned and operated business.
RESPONSIBILITIES – (not an exhaustive list)
Evaluate and report findings to supervisor
Carpentry skills
Ability to diagnose and repair, both high and low voltage electrical issues
Ability to switch from one task to another as needed
Use of written and verbal communication skills necessary daily.
Ability to work with plumbing, propane, HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, etc
Ability to read manuals and apply to current project as needed
Be able to work Saturdays as needed, and some overtime if necessary
Ability to back trailers and RVs into parking spots and shop as needed
Willing to take instructions
Willing to assist fellow technicians when needed
Using your talents to help us to create an efficient, productive, and effective workflow.
Keep supervisor updated with work progress
Does not mind doing something different daily
QUALIFICATIONS
Mechanical aptitude
Strong problem-solving skills
Must have a valid license and reliable transportation
Excellent References and Work history required
RV Repair experience is highly preferred, but not required
Must be a “can fix most anything” person
Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but, we also consider applicable work experience
Minimum 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred

BENEFITS
Paid Vacation – 1 week after a year employment

This is a full-time position, 40 Hours per week, with some scheduled late departures or Saturdays. Can offer some flexibility to the right candidate. Competitive hourly pay based on experience; this is not a flat rate shop.
