Overview:
We are seeking a high-quality, skilled lead-carpenter to work for our fast-growing company. Our ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is a proactive communicator to customers, crew, and managers. We want excellent project management skills with pride in workmanship and customer service orientation.
Responsibilities:
-Framing and trim carpentry
-Drywall, painting, and finish trim work
-Cabinetry installation
-Window and door installation
-Deck and roofing projects
-Site prep, demolition, and excavation
-Rough framing and carpentry
-Operate power tools and small equipment
-Inventory products and supplies for individual jobs
As the Lead Carpenter you will be expected to answer most questions regarding the project and direct more specific or complicated questions to the appropriate resource.
You will work with your team and assign tasks to transform the vision into reality, ensuring order and cleanliness on the job site. Provide explanations, details, and expectations while keeping management and customers in the loop on a daily basis.
Requirements:
As lead carpenter you must be able to professionally communicate with clients, subcontractors, and office staff. Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements. And recognize potential problems with the project by requesting additional guidance and assistance ina timely manner.
-Minimum 5 years construction experience.
-Good troubleshooter and problem solver.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Own and maintain a complete array of construction power and hand tools.
-Must maintain attention to detail.
-Clean, functional, and dependable truck or van.
-Valid driver’s license
-Experience working outside in all weather conditions
