Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials and products throughout the facility. This role requires heavy lifting, electric pallet jack experience, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a smooth workflow.
2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10:30pm, $17.60/hr
3rd shift: Monday - Friday, 10pm - 6:30am, $18.40/hr
Duties
Monitor and change supplies and material as needed.
Load cardboard into packer.
Write repair work orders.
Operate pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Communicate with machine operators.
Perform visual inspection.
Maintain an organized work area, adhering to OSHA regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience in materials handling or a similar role is preferred.
Strong ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must have HS diploma or GED.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
Must have steel toe or composite shoes/boots.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including pallet jacks.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
