We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced CMM Operator and Programmer in a metals manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for overseeing the inspection and measurement of parts and products using a new Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). This role involves ensuring that the manufactured components meet the specified design standards and quality requirements.

The CMM Operator and Programmer plays a crucial role in the quality control process of part manufacturing by operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine to inspect and measure metal components for precision and compliance with design specifications

Description/Responsibilities

· Operate a bridge CMM

· Develop CMM measurement programs using PC-DMIS

· Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment

· Set up CMM equipment, fixtures, and work pieces for measurement and inspection

· Collect, analyze, and interpret measurement data to identify non-conformities, quality issues, and deviations from design requirements

· Maintain accurate records of measurements, inspections, and quality reports

· Prepare inspection reports and related documentation

· Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of part manufacturing operations

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Needs to be a US citizen (ITAR)

· 2-3 years prior experience

· Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints

· Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

· Knowledge of measurement techniques and tools, including micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment.

· Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
