Estimator is responsible for reviewing and preparation of cost estimates for production to customer supplied drawings. If you have estimating/quoting experience and consider yourself to be creative and detail-oriented, then read on!
Specific Responsibilities:
Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposal/drawings and requirement.
Determine the most cost-effective way to route a job through the manufacturing process and the associated cost.
Work closely with department team members.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience with estimating and quoting from within manufacturing.
Shop floor manufacturing experience including working knowledge of production and assembly
Attention to detail.
Effective communication.
Able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
Experience working in a precision machining preferred.
Must have 5+ years’ experience with manufacturing process quoting.
The ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Ability to estimate costs and formulate an accurate q.uote.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
An understanding of plating, painting and manufacturing processes.
