Job Summary: Responsible for timely and accurate processing of customer orders to ensure the highest customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
Answer company phone lines
Take customer orders by phone, e-mail or mail
Process orders by comparing customer requirements to current inventory levels
Recommend and/or assist customer with alternate material purchase
Advise customer if requested product is unavailable and provide anticipated delivery date and applicable pricing
Work in conjunction with credit department to resolve any outstanding payments
Maintain customer files
Scan all associated customer order paperwork into system
Direct customer complaints and/or questions to appropriate staff member
Provide clerical and administrative support to Executive Management staff, as required
Schedule delivery and/or pick-up dates
Interface and act as back-up to scheduling daily trips for company drivers
Minor Functions:
Maintain general office supplies and purchase product, as required
Ensure maintenance of office equipment; place service calls, as needed
Direct general telephone inquiries to the respective party
