Our expanding company, located in Agawam, MA is seeking a hardworking and dependable Petroleum Construction and Compliance person to join our team. The successful candidate will have an interest in working in a variety of conditions. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, willing to work hard, and who can think quickly on their feet. This position is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in the petroleum construction industry or for someone who wants to learn how to do specialized tasks within the petroleum construction industry.

You will be trained on the understanding of the requirements for facilities with above and below ground fuel systems. You will be trained on tank systems, piping systems, electronic monitoring systems, and regulatory documentation requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine visual inspections and evaluations of components involved in the total fuel systems management equipment including dispensers, tanks, piping, electronic testing components and monitoring devices, spill bucket installation and repair, installation, and O&M of systems components.

There will be close and frequent interaction with clientele and the general public at site locations.

Accurately capture and report inspection results in an electronic software utilizing a tablet

Assist in petroleum storage tank system construction work.

Qualifications

Ability to work on your own with little or no supervision.

Mechanical aptitude is desirable.

Those with strong character and work ethics.

Safety minded individuals who understand the importance of following protocols

Someone that is comfortable using handheld electronic devices for reporting.

Able to meet physical qualifications including lifting requirements for the job.

Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record

This position requires travel to job sites on a regular basis, a majority of the work is centralized in the eastern part of MA, along with CT and RI.

Good organizational and multi-tasking skills and clear and concise communication skills, as well as clear analytical thought processes.

Technical understanding and insight in the field is a plus but not necessary.

Physical requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.

Able to work in all weather conditions, a significant portion of work will be outdoors.

Be able to use basic measuring devices, such as a level, tape measure, and calculator.

Be able to use hand and power tools, such as a drill, saws, and hammers.

Be able to understand and follow orders and instructions from project managers or foremen.
