In-Home Housemate

We are looking for a woman to serve as a live-in housemate for our daughter. Cheryl is a middle-aged blind woman who loves reading, music, exercising, going to musical events, and restaurants. She is a very happy person, loves meeting new people. She owns her own home but needs assistance with cooking, cleaning, general decision making, transportation and companionship to events. During the day she has a paid companion who takes her to the YMCA and other activities. Respite is also provided. Cheryl does not require any personal assistance. She makes her own breakfast and lunch daily but needs help with dinner. In addition to a bi-weekly salary, the person who takes this position receives free housing including utilities, TV, Wifi, phone, snow removal, and lawn care.There is a food stipend. This is a 10 and ½ month position as Cheryl spends six weeks in the summer with her parents.The successful applicant must have reliable transportation and good references. This is not a short-term job as the applicant should expect to stay at least one year, hopefully longer.
