$19/hour paid by MassHealth through Tempus Unlimited fiscal intermediary. Prior PCA experience is NOT required. No certifications necessary. This is an ongoing part-time job that involves caring for a disabled woman in her home.
Starting 5:30 or 6:00pm to 10:00 or 10:30pm evening shifts on weekdays, two to four days a week as well as some optional afternoon hours - FLEXIBLE. Weekends available also. Help going to daytime doctor's appointments would be great as well. If you are able to occasionally offer transportation to doctor’s appointments, they would be scheduled ahead of time as works for you.
PCA tasks can include:
- Helping with activities of daily living
- Light house cleaning
- Kitchen tasks, such as preparing simple meals, steaming vegetables, washing dishes
- Shopping for food, toiletries and cleaning supplies
- Paperwork and letter writing
- Organizing living space
- Going to local doctor appointments using your own vehicle if you are helping with doctors appointments
Qualified persons are:
- Licensed to drive with reliable transportation
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (including 4x booster)
- At least 18 years of age
- Willing to mask during shift
- Non-smokers (I CANNOT hire someone who smokes cigarettes)
- If you're able to bring me to appointments, have reliable access to a smoke-free vehicle that will accommodate a folding wheelchair
- Readily available by cell phone
- Able to provide at least two references
