Jacob’s Pillow seeks a Nurse to join the Health Care Office during the 9-week festival late June through the end of August. This person will report to the Health Care Coordinator and work closely with other health care office professionals. While on duty the Nurse will field and respond to care requests from a variety of people who are at Jacob’s Pillow including patrons, staff, artists, students, etc. The staff, interns, faculty, and students are all residents on campus; artists stay in hotels nearby. Campus-wide medical needs vary, ranging from trips and falls, heat illness, and musculoskeletal sprains and strains, to mental health first aid, stomach aches, bug bites, etc. Care will be provided in the Health Office located on campus or if necessary, referred to local health care professionals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Applicants must be 21 or older
-Certified in CPR and First Aid required
-Must be certified RN, LPN, NP, or PA
-Must have professional liability insurance
-Experience in nursing (1 year preferred)
-Impeccable organization skills with the ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast moving environment
-Ability to provide compassionate and comforting care to all
