Boston Engineering is looking for an IT Support Engineer to assist with managing our internal help desk in a Windows/macOS environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting end-users by troubleshooting, researching, and resolving a variety of technical issues. You'll handle support requests via phone, email, chat, and direct inquiries, ensuring that each issue is documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.Successful candidates will have a strong background in computer systems and will help manage the Windows/macOS infrastructure of Boston Engineering.In this role, you will:Maintain hardware and software on workstationsPurchase hardware and software to support the infrastructureBuild and configure new workstationsStreamline and simplify workstation management processesTrain users on best practices, including security protocolsTroubleshoot and manage assigned network resourcesCreate and maintain IT-related documentationYou must have:Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Strong time management skillsBe well-versed in the open-source landscapeExperience with both Windows and macOS systemsThis role is restricted to US persons (i.e., US citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Boston Engineering will require proof of status prior to employment.
