As an Environmental Field Technician, you will assist with hazardous waste removal, emergency response activities, and ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include performing physical labor, operating equipment, and maintaining vehicles, while prioritizing safety by following established health and safety protocols. These roles may require an OSHA 40-Hazwoper certification, the ability to lift heavy items, and a strong commitment to safety in all field-related activities.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations
- Understand and execute all required paperwork
- Ability to wear a respirator for 4- 6 hours per day
- Complete emergency response training and be placed on an emergency response team
- Excavation
- Working alongside machinery
- Working on solar and remediation sites
- Assisting various technicians
- Moving materials
- Oil Water Separator with Full Face North
- Vactor Work
- Site Decontamination
- Tank Cleaning
- Spill Response
- Experience handling hazmat material (preferred not required)
Position Qualifications
- OSHA 40 Hazwoper Certification Required
- Basic knowledge of, or interest in, environmental services and hazardous waste field
- Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug screening
- Experience with Hazardous Waste removal
- Ability to work 40+ hours a week
- Ability to work over time if needed
Pay Range: $20/hr. - $23/hr.
