Human Resource Generalist

As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR staff with various tasks and projects. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of human resources while assisting the HR team in delivering efficient and effective HR services to employees. You will be exposed to a range of HR activities, allowing you to develop a broad skill set and understanding of HR practices.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and work well under pressure, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and have pride in work product. This is a fast-paced position that requires a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.

HR Job Duties:

Track Daily attendance.

Review employee timecards in ADP

Interview applicants for production staff

Order background checks and arrange drug screens/physicals for new hires, monitor completion and tracks results.

Prepare and set up new hire orientation and on-boarding.

Train, review, and update managers on policies.

Train managers and employees on safety topics

Maintain, track, and distribute lockers for employees.

Assist with disciplinary processes when necessary.

Lead Safety Committee.

Process and maintain all injury reports and OSHA forms.

Actively participates in projects and meetings.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and satisfy numerous competing demands.

Assist in maintaining up to date Federal and State regulations posters.

Maintain MSDS Binder (update as needed)

Maintain emergency reporting for evacuation safety.

Misc. clerical duties as assigned including filing, ordering supplies, scanning, and administrative projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Associates degree required.

Minimum 2 - 3 years of related recruiting or HR administrative experience required.

Basic knowledge of human resources activity required.

Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required.

Typing speed of a minimum of 50 wpm.

Strong customer service skills

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Must be self-starter with flexibility to perform a variety of duties from mundane to complex.

The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and switch tasks quickly is essential.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the experience to perform professionally, diplomatically, and confidentially when interacting with all levels of staff.
