Description Our exclusive client, a growing manufacturer along rte. 9 in Westborough has an immediate need for a Sr. Accountant who is ready for the jump to manager. This position will be responsible for all accounting related functions for a $15M plant that roles up to a larger national corporation.The Ideal candidate will have 2+ years in a senior accountant position with an ability to hit the ground running with all GL related functions including the monthly close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations. fixed assets and monthly reporting. Some exposure to the AP & AR processes is needed and any experience with payroll is a strong plus. This position will also include the cost accounting function, experience with cost accounting, cost analysis and inventory accounting is strongly desired. High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Public Accounting experience
Proven knowledge of journal entries
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Close Processes
Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience
Strong familiarity with Asset Inventory
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Experience with ERP systems
Skilled at time management
