Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Inventory Accountant in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This role involves maintaining and analyzing inventory within our organization, reconciling inventory accounts, preparing journal entries, and maintaining detailed reports to ensure that inventory is accurately reported. The successful candidate will work with various departments to streamline inventory processes and provide support for internal and external audits related to inventory.Responsibilities: Reconciliation of inventory accounts to the general ledger Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports Execution of physical inventory counts and reconciliation of counts with inventory records Analysis of inventory trends and recommendation of strategies to management Development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices Investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies Assistance in the preparation of financial statements and budgets Collaboration with other departments such as procurement and logistics to streamline inventory processes Provision of support for internal and external audits related to inventory Compliance with internal control requirements for inventory.Skills: Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and Great Plains (GPAC) Knowledge of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Auditing and Budget Processes Familiarity with Annual Standard Cost. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential Prior experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary Knowledge of ERP Solutions is a must Hands-on experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is desirable Ability to handle all Accounting Functions is crucial Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is required Auditing skills are highly desirable Understanding of Budget Processes is important Ability to perform Annual Standard Cost analysis is a key requirement Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
