We are currently looking forAppointment Schedulers. The schedule is Monday Through Friday 8-4:30PM. Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is a world-renown provider of eye care services. Over the years we have trained hundreds of curious and capable individuals to become subject matter experts in the field of Ophthalmic services. Our professionals have grown their careers within our practice and beyond. We are excited and ready to help other professionals grow their careers. Can we help you with yours? OCB Appointment Schedulers are responsible for:

Answering a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment for all the OCB specialties and locations

Working with patients to address their concerns and questions and schedule appropriately

Obtain proper insurance information, and verify we are contracted with the insurance company

Obtaining all necessary demographic information during the registration process and avoid delays in care

Answer voicemails, returning calls to the patient and documenting the call outcomes

Contacting new or existing patients to schedule appointments based on outside providers request and ensure proper documentation

Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on priority

Maintaining strict confidentialityand adheringto all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED or higher

Strong customer service skills required to be able to handle all calls in a professionally, and friendly manner

Strong computer and typing skills required

Call center experience preferred but not required

Working knowledge of Epic system preferred but not required

Working knowledge in Microsoft office preferred but not required

Prior experience working with medical insurance preferred but not required
