Job Title: Software Developer Location: Norwood, MA 02062Duration: 6+ Months, potential to go permanentSchedule: Shift 1; M-F (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)Description:•Reviews relevant requirements, standards and other documentation to clarify and understand software engineering requirements•Writes and edits technical documentation to support software development process•Designs and develops software for semi-complex features•Provides estimates for modules under development, and estimates own work•Completes the development of software test requirements for modules under development•Develops and executes software (unit and integration) tests•Presents technical findings and developments•Provides technical direction to more junior members on the team•Adheres to the software quality process through the execution of module, subsystem and system test procedures.•Experienced Professional•Supports implementation and verification activities of software test requirements and cases for semi-complex modules under development.•Participates in presentations of accomplishments and end of Sprint meetings.•Initial focus is on the creation of coded unit tests, primarily using Java, the JUnit framework and techniques such as mocks, fakes and stubs. As candidates experience with architecture, design and product line grows, focus shifts to feature design and development activities, including defect fixes.•Participates and may lead feature development and software design processRequirements:•Computer Science or similar 4 year degree•5+ Years programming experience using Java or equivalent language•3+ years Android experience•3+ programming experience in OOP languages like C or Java.•Detailed Oriented.•Agile software development methodology, experience as team leader or scrum master desired•Comfortable working with high functioning team, willing to fill in where needed.•Able to both take direction and to provide direction•Technical writing skills•Preferred previous experience of software development in regulated environment•Practical Experience with one or more of the following•Bluetooth protocol•802.11•NFC / RFID•JavaScript•Machine learning•React•Typescript•SQLite Benefits:
