Assistant Controller

Description We are in search of an Assistant Controller to join our team based in Norwood, Massachusetts. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and focuses on carrying out various accounting functions and payroll processing tasks. The Assistant Controller will be integral in driving automation within our current manual systems and contributing towards the financial management of the Ellis facility.Responsibilities: Process payroll in an efficient and accurate manner, ensuring all 180 employees are paid weekly Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks diligently Conduct bank reconciliations as part of the regular accounting cycle Assist with month and quarter-end close procedures, including the preparation of journal entries Contribute to the preparation of balance sheets and financial statements Make use of Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services to effectively manage accounting functions Participate in auditing processes to ensure financial compliance Oversee billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Utilize tools such as Concur and Crystal Reports for efficient financial management Work towards automating manual processes within the accounting function, promoting efficiency and accuracy. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred Familiarity with Concur operations Ability to work with Crystal Reports Knowledge of DCAA regulations and procedures Understanding of various Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) management Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing procedures and practices Expertise in Billing Functions is essential Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
