Job Descriptions:The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department is a growing and evolving part of the organization that strives to help the Bank meet its strategic objectives in a smart, compliant, and sustainable manner. The department is broad reaching and interacts with all areas of the Bank to achieve these objectives. The department is composed of four groups: ERM, Operational Assurance, Third-Party Risk Management, and Internal Audit. Each group is responsible for monitoring and managing various types of risk and compliance requirements to which the Bank is subject. Internship OverviewWe are seeking a highly-motivated student who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced banking environment. The ERM Intern will support various groups within the ERM department, and assigned tasks will vary from day-to-day operations, assisting with identifying process improvements, and automating tasks where possible. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesERM is a fast paced and ever-evolving department where no one day will be the same. This position may provide the following support:
Support customer, department, process, product, and/or vendor risk assessments by gathering and analyzing data and engaging in discussions around execution of related controls.
Assist in the collection and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for Sr. Management including analyzing and comparing the Bank’s key metrics to peer banks.
Identifying and implementing automation opportunities for current manual processes and reporting.
Working to identify and enhance ERM reporting and data visualizations.
Performing audit related work such as issue remediation and financial control testing.
Assist with the development or enhancement of procedures.
Participating in discussions on emerging risks throughout the Bank, and documenting these discussions and assessing impacts of these risks across departments.
Participate in Bank-wide internship meetings, projects, etc., as applicable.
Other tasks and special projects, as assigned.
Required Experience:JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data visualizations, etc.) preferred
Ability to work independently
Highly motivated and can handle multiple tasks

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
Previous related internship and/or coursework preferred
Interest in banking preferred
