Crisis Specialist - MCI - Part Time Overnights

We make a difference- in your community and in your career. Crisis Specialist - Mobile Crisis Intervention The Crisis Specialist is an integral part of the MCI Program. At MCI the program provides crisis intervention services 7 days per week, 24 hours per day either on-site or mobile to any individual experiencing a mental health and/or substance abuse crisis. The Crisis Specialist works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team devoted to crisis intervention and stabilization. The Crisis Specialist will also:

support the master’s-level clinicians and Triage staff in providing MCI services to individuals

help support individuals and their families and perform tasks such as assisting with the implementation of the disposition determined by the master’s level clinician

provide telephonic support, arranges for assessments to occur on site or in the community and organizes for transportation as needed

secure placements in detox units, inpatient units and diversionary levels of care and coordinates the transfer of those served to these facilities

We are looking for an individual that is able to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing office environment.

Schedule: Part Time 16 hours, Overnight Sunday and Monday 11pm - 7am

Pay Rate: $22.66/hourly with eve/weekend/nights differentials

Required Skills

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple pieces of data

Able to appropriately prioritize tasks while assessing for potential risk

Skilled at coordinating internal and external agency resources

Excellent telephonic and in person communication and interpersonal skills

Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one year of experience (including internship) with mental health or related field required. Residential treatment and/or home-based experience is preferred
