Description We are seeking an Audit Sr. - Public to join our team based in MetroWest, Massachusetts. The role involves working in a public accounting environment and carrying out audit duties. As an Audit Sr. - Public, you will be responsible for utilizing research skills, applying audit foundational knowledge to understand potential audit issues, gathering client information necessary for filing, participating in audit planning, recognizing, and communicating potential risks, preparing audit workpapers and working with audit software applications to complete audit.Responsibilities: Utilize research skills to understand potential audit issues Apply audit foundational knowledge in day-to-day operations Gather client information necessary for filing Participate in audit planning and strategizing Recognize and communicate potential risks during the audit process Prepare audit workpapers accurately and efficiently Utilize audit software applications to complete audit tasks Act as the main client contact for general questions and information Supervise and review the work of Audit Associates Assist in maintaining and improving accounting functionsSkills: Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience in Audit Program Familiarity with CaseWare, CCH Sales Tax, CobiT Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in Audit Engagements Knowledge in Auditing Ability to create and manage Audit Plans Experience as an Audit SeniorRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. Experience with Audit Program development and execution. Familiarity with CaseWare is required. Skills in using CCH Sales Tax software are desirable. Knowledge of CobiT control framework is necessary. Ability to perform various Accounting Functions efficiently. Experience with Audit Engagements and managing client relationships. Strong understanding of Auditing principles and practices. Capability to develop and implement Audit Plans. Previous experience as an Audit Senior in a public sector or similar role is preferred.
