Accounting Clerk

Description We are in search of a Credit Clerk to work in the service industry, located in Medway, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This role offers a contract employment opportunity and requires a skill set in accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, Microsoft Excel, and computer data entry.Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner Keep all customer credit records up-to-date Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary action for delinquent payments Perform data entry tasks as required Liaise with intercompany departments for smooth operations Communicate effectively with union managers and union staff Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable department to manage customer credit accounts Discuss benefit rates with relevant parties Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting tasks Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated ability in Data Entry Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in Computer Data Entry Background in the Service industry, preferably as an Accounting Clerk Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Familiarity with accounting software and databases is a plus Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
