What you’ll do:· Ensure timely payment of payroll tax liabilities across Shared Services, collaborating with Payroll to resolve tax issues.· Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly federal and state payroll tax payments, along with the corresponding journal entries for the General Ledger.· Reconcile General Ledger payroll liability accounts on a quarterly basis to ensure tax compliance.· Act as a liaison with the unemployment service provider; review unemployment tax accruals and prepare quarterly state unemployment returns and payments.· Provide unemployment tax forecasts to Treasury and reconcile unemployment General Ledger accounts quarterly.· Research and implement current tax technology, ensuring compliance and identifying tax-saving opportunities.· Stay updated on federal and state tax regulations and legislative actions to ensure ongoing tax compliance.· Maintain documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and conduct quarterly SOX audit control testing.· Participate in special projects as needed.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. 4-7 years of accounting-related experience, specifically with payroll and employment tax. Strong knowledge of payroll and employment tax laws. Proficiency in PC skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay current on changing tax regulations and implement necessary processes.Note:This role is HYBRID in Marlborough, MA.
