Job Summary:The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).This position is an onsite role This position can be a Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
(Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.
Qualifications You Must Have:
This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior year by the start of summer 2025
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Specific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline
3.00 cumulative GPA or higher
Experience or coursework in System Design
Matlab and/or C experience Modeling and Simulation experience
Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
Proven strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Ability to problem solve and seek
out additional resources
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and
cultures
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution style

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
