Description Robert Half has a full-time opportunity for Staff Accountant candidates who want to become a critical part of an innovative company. To be successful, challenges and multiple moving components should excite candidates. Candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, will be preferred for this Staff Accountant position. This role will involve internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

Take part in various department-wide initiatives

Requirements - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Self-starter and strong ethical standards

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

Skilled with ERP systems

Proven knowledge of budgeting

Practical knowledge of month end closings

Foundational knowledge in account management

Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Account reconciliation experience

Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

Proficiency in bank reconciliations

Quality experience with Monthly Statements

Wide ranging experience with US GAAP

General familiarity with forecasting

Well-founded grasp of financial analysis

Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Competent with spreadsheets and databases
