Solidus is seeking an engineer with expertise in signal processing applications that can be applied to high-rate, low-probability-of-detection (LPD) anti-jam (AJ) communication systems.
The successful candidate will join a team that develops and demonstrates new algorithms, architectures, and hardware implementations for processing signals for a broad range of system applications, including advanced wireless communications and signals intelligence.Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Assist staff in developing simulations and bounds to determine the performance of candidate communication systems in the presence of jamming and RF surveillance - Develop software to process received data from prototype systems. Organize the results for reports and presentation formats - Support prototype system development and integration between component subsystems on site in the laboratory - Aid in the collection of data for analysis during field tests in support of evaluating the performance of candidate communication systems in the presence of jamming and RF surveillanceRequired Skills: - US Citizenship and active DoD Secret Clearance - BS plus 8 years minimum experience, or MS plus 5 years minimum experience - Matlab programming experience - Signal processing algorithms including Fourier analysis, filter design, detection statistics, etc. - Linear algebra including Eigen Decompositions, SVD analysis, QR decompositions, etc. - Linux operating systems - Python programming - Data Analysis - Modeling and Simulation - Real-Time Hardware/ Software Development and Implementation - Laboratory RF test equipment (ie spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.) - RF Systems - Communication Systems - Testing and EvaluationPreferred Skills: - Experience with communication signal processing and protocols - Experience coordinating and fielding RF-based equipment for test and demonstration - Experience with field test data collection and analysis - Experience with analysis of high-data-rate, LPD/AJ communications systemsJob: 4165Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
