Agilent is looking for an experienced Senior R&D plastics engineer (Senior Application Scientist) who will assist with technical expertise to drive innovative, specialized consumables into commercialized products. This role will support all phases of the development process, from understanding the voice of customer specifications to developing commercialized content for consumables. This role will work closely with Agilent's commercial and product management teams, R&D and manufacturing teams. Familiarity with the Agile process for project management is key. This role requires the ability to balance multiple projects/tasks while operating with minimal supervision.Responsibilities:
- Product design and specification; verification and validation; transfer to manufacturing
- Content development for key applications
- Work with marketing and commercial teams to gather VOC
- Provide expertise around plastics development to project teams
- Support customer facing and internal documentation needs
- Contribute to the design of new consumables; provide design direction to external suppliers
- Communicate updates to management teams
