Description Robert Half is looking for a Controller, who will have broad business engagement and impact. To thrive in this position, you will need to be able to manage the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verify and hold the operations team accountable to ensure end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting and related financial controls are operating effectively. The Controller position will be located in Leominster, Massachusetts and is a long-term contract / temporary engagement. Engage with various business partners for various program controllership and FP& A activities such as ensuring accuracy of accrual models, appropriate accounting and true-up activities and communicate with CFO.
Assemble evidence and provide trend analysis of monthly financial results
Perpetual reviewing of actual spend against budget, as well as leading necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls
Become familiar with key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners
Direct budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes and tools for all accountable programsRequirements
Excellent proficiency in office and accounting computer systems
Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
Capacity to assess process and internal control weaknesses and identify improvements
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience in establishing trusted advisor/consultant relationships and proven ability to influence Executives and Business Decision Makers
Knowledge of ERP system preferred
7+ years professional accounting and controllership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Prior background in providing leadership to acounting staff and guiding the month end close process; excellent communications skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
Month-end Financial experience required
Solid understanding of month end closings
