Mary's Meadow at Providence Place is the place to be!Mary's Meadow is a unique nursing home that embraces the Small-House Concept which consists of four separate houses, each accommodating 10 residents. The residents enjoy a home-like environment with private rooms, full baths, and shared living spaces. The facility prioritizes independence and self-reliance, allowing residents to feel at home. With a staffing ratio of 10 residents to 2 Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA's), personalized care is ensured. Mary's Meadow has received national recognition for its exceptional care, including top rankings, a five-star rating from U.S. News & World Report, the Women's Choice Award for Best Extended Care & Nursing Homes, and the Excellence in Action Award for Customer Satisfaction.As a CNA at Mary's Meadow, you will play a crucial role in delivering holistic and resident-centered care. Reporting to the licensed NH Administrator and working under the guidance of a licensed nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:
Listening to reports and obtaining assignments at the start of your shift to understand each resident's current care plans.
Providing personalized care, including assistance with daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
Participating in collaborative care planning meetings with the clinical support team to create resident-centered care plans.
Observing residents closely and promptly reporting any changes or reactions to the nurse.
Documenting care accurately in our electronic medical record system.
Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and cleaning up afterward, ensuring the preferences of each elder are met.
Assisting with laundry and maintaining a clean and welcoming home environment.
Communicating effectively with co-workers to meet the needs of our elders and ensuring their safety and engagement.
Attending team meetings and actively contributing to discussions.
Reporting accidents and incidents, following safety protocols, and maintaining a hazard-free environment.
Actively participating in educational programs and maintaining required certifications.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESTo thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Maintain a Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) certification as required by the State of Massachusetts.
Receive training in safe food handling techniques, CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Care.
Showcase your culinary skills for meal preparation.
