Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Greenfield, MA The Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will report to the Assistant Head of School and serve on the SeniorAdministrative team. The Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion will also work with all constituencies in the schoolcommunity, including administrators, teachers, staff, parents, students, alumnae/x, and the Board of Trustees. Theideal candidate will be a leading voice in advancing equity in all areas of school life and will assume the followingprimary responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities:● Collaborate with the Head of School, the Assistant Head of School, and the senior administrative team toensure and build broad-based strategic DEI work across all areas of school● Actively engage with the Admissions Office to recruit, welcome and retain students from diversebackgrounds● Partner with other administrators to recruit, welcome and retain faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds● Collaborate with the Head of School, the Assistant Head of School, and the faculty to create, evaluate, andthoughtfully implement a curriculum and pedagogy that is culturally inclusive and based on anti-biasprinciples● Work with Deans Team to ensure that the Schools student life program reflects and supports the studentbody● Coordinate programs for educating faculty, staff, students, parents, and community partners about issuesrelated to diversity, equity, and inclusion● Oversee and coordinate DEI professional development, conferences, workshops, and opportunities as wellas training for students, faculty, staff, and trustees● Visible leadership in working with the DEI Task Force and full Board of Trustees● Act as a resource for faculty and staff in providing academic, emotional and social support forstudents/families of diverse backgrounds● Collaborate with all administrative offices to ensure consistency of DEI mandate● Oversee the DEI budget● In addition, this position will be responsible for special projects and additional responsibilities as needed, asdetermined by the Head of School, Assistant Head of School, and the school administration● Teach three classes and/or fulfill an administrative role as assigned by the Head of School● Advise a group of students/deliver advisory curriculum weekly during Advisory Block● Support Affinity group(s)● Support the onboarding of all faculty● Attend the following regularly scheduled meetings: Faculty Meeting, Head’s Council, and otherorganizational meetings as determined by the Head and Assistant Head of SchoolQualities and Qualifications:● Knowledge of DEI best practices with demonstrated success in the field● Passion for DEI work and a vision for implementation in an educational setting● Appreciation of independent school culture and all-girls education● Awareness of intersectionality within an all-girls environment● Experience working with all constituencies in their roles as allies and/ or representatives ofunderrepresented groups to build a fully inclusive community culture for all● Capacity for teamwork and developing thoughtful working relationships with all school constituencies.● Strong communication skills.
