Merchandise AssistantThis is a contract position.This is an onsite opportunity located in Framingham, MA.About this PositionAre you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to jump into the fast-paced world of retail merchandising? In this role, you’ll work closely with Buyers and Merchandise Managers to support key operations that ensure products get to the right place, at the right time. You’ll communicate with 50+ vendors, track purchase orders, coordinate travel, and help manage merchandise samples—all while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the retail industry.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare, revise, and track domestic and import purchase orders; ensure accuracy and required signatures.Communicate with vendors daily to address PO issues, allocations, and shipping delays.Coordinate travel and schedule vendor/agent visits for 2–5 Merchants and AVP.Support cross-functional teams and other departments with administrative tasks.Manage pre-production sample process and maintain sample organization and displays.Job Skills/RequirementsStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and follow-up with vendors and internal partners.Ability to manage purchase orders using systems like Buyer Worksheet or similar tools.Proficient in Microsoft Excel to track weekly spend and generate reports.Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Why should you apply?Work directly with Merchants and gain insider retail experience.Be part of a collaborative, growth-minded team.Build your career in the buying and planning space.Get exposure to large-scale vendor relations and supply chain operations.Opportunity to support high-impact projects in a Fortune 500 retail environment.Pay RangePay Range: $18 - $20/hrYUPRO Placement is the nation’s leading skills-first placement firm placing and promoting historically overlooked talent into permanent hire, apprenticeship, and contract job assignments.
