Downstream Process Development Group Leader

Job DescriptionPerform small-scale purification studies to support manufacturing processes.Preparation and operation of chromatography systems for small-scale purification experiments.Perform basic laboratory support work such as preparation of solutions, sample submission, and equipment calibration.Statistically analyze and review large data sets and draft technical reports to support studies.Collaborate on a small team to come up with new ideas and innovative solutions.Take the lead on executing the purification of projects and perform project management duties.Coordinate with a broader scientific team to align on lab activities and processes.Comply with all GxP standards, GHS policies, and current written procedures and protocols.Present on technical topics during cross-functional meetings.Work in a fast-paced lab environment.Balance multiple projects and tasks, prioritize and execute them independently, while communicating with all impacted parties.Leadership responsibilitiesSupports and monitors the performance of the team of analysts, including coordination of work assignments.Participate in new hire interviews.Supports the onboarding process of new employees.Participates in the training of other employees.Executes performance reviews and delivers feedback to employees.Ensures proper time management and workload requirements of team are met.Engages in leadership development training.
