Manage salaried managers and hourly associates in the Food Service Department.
Coordinate the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account.
Interview, hire, and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and address concerns of associates; resolve problems as they arise.
Prepare and manage the annual budget.
Apply company systems to complete required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll/ time-keeping, etc.
Coordinate and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items, ensuring they meet company standards for preparation, presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
Five to seven years of direct food service operational management experience with catering, financials, inventory, and purchasing knowledge and control.
Strong knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Previous P&L accountability in contract-managed service experience.
Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and mentorship abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient computer skills including various computer programs, Microsoft Office, e-mail, and the Internet.
