Description We are looking for a skilled Cable Technician to join our team in Concord, Massachusetts. The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, interpreting system maps, and ensuring all tasks comply with safety regulations. This role will also involve responding to emergency outages and undertaking special projects as assigned.Responsibilities: Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, digger trucks, backhoes, and wire/cable pulling equipment. Ascend poles and use aerial lift equipment safely and efficiently. Use electrical testing/diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues. Interpret system maps and records to support line operations. Work safely in confined underground spaces and handle energized electrical equipment. Direct lower-level line workers when working with high voltage lines. Ensure all tasks comply with established safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to facilitate line construction and repair activities. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring they are in proper working order. Respond to emergency outages after-hours to restore power and repair electrical infrastructure. Undertake special projects as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cable Technician Proficient in working with electrical systems Experience with high voltage systems Must possess a strong understanding of electrical principles Capable of troubleshooting and repairing cable systems Ability to work safely in various environments, including high locations and confined spaces Must be able to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work in different shifts and during weekends if required Proven record of reliability and punctuality High school diploma or equivalent is a requirement, higher technical education is a plus Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
