Description Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Based out of the Concord, Massachusetts area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.Key responsibilities
Produce full-cycle A/P
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Carry out additional projects as required
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Requirements - Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
