Job Title: Bookkeeper/Office ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team. This is a long-term opportunity with a family-owned company that values flexibility and teamwork. The ideal candidate will assist the Treasurer and President with various bookkeeping and administrative tasks.Responsibilities
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), including picking and paying invoices and processing invoices received via email.
Perform weekly billing in Excel and Word, process AR payments daily/weekly, and enter AR invoices and payments in our Open Systems software.
Work with the General Ledger (GL) in Open Systems software, including entering monthly manual entries, checking totals for each GL account, processing, and posting monthly information, and printing monthly GL reports.
Manage yearly renewals with ISNetworld and DCAM with the State of Massachusetts.
Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, typing proposals, copying, faxing, scanning, and assisting the bosses with various tasks as needed.
Gather yearly information required for the accountant.
Assist the Treasurer with pension paperwork and insurance audits.
Track AP and payroll for each job and phase using our Job Cost system in Open Systems software.
Utilize QuickBooks for payroll and other bookkeeping tasks.
Supervise two part-time employees (one for AP and payroll paperwork, and another for AR and job site tasks).
Essential Skills
Experience with bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Open Systems software.
Familiarity with QuickBooks is a must.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed.

Work EnvironmentSmall family-owned construction office. The office promotes a collaborative and flexible work environment.
