Water Treatment Technical Leader

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented and experienced Water Technical Leader to support water treatment and distribution related planning, design, and construction projects throughout the United States.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the planning, design, construction, and operation of water related projects, including supply, treatment, pumping station, storage, and distribution / transmission.  The preferred candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver successful projects.  The position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful regional and national group that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities.  In this role, you will have an opportunity to mentor junior staff and interact with key clients.  Join our team and help us continue to deliver innovating and successful projects.The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Coordinate and oversee pilot studiesCoordinate and oversee condition assessment of water infrastructurePerform process technology evaluations and selection based on raw water characteristics and flows to satisfy safe drinking water regulationsConcept, preliminary and detail designs for water treatment plant upgradesConcept, preliminary and detailed designs for water distribution projects (pumping stations, storage tanks, and distribution / transmission mains)Coordination with civil, hydraulic and mechanical aspects while guiding and  informing the architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and I&C disciplinesAssess trends in the marketplace and support business development activities related to water projects, including strategy, approach, and engineering fee.Mentor and develop junior water process and designs staff.Participate in local and national professional organizations, including attending and presenting at conferences.
