Pain Clinic/Radiographer - ( 3281477 ) Description Summary:Under the general direction of the Administrative Director and the Supervision of the Lead Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures as directed by a physician, servicing patients of all ages and requiring independent judgment to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. The majority of patients will be from the adult and geriatric age groups. Performs a variety of patient contact duties that may include educating patients/families to safety protocols and to routine diagnostic procedures. Utilizes Epic for patient processing and multiple system for digital capture of diagnostic images. Insures that images are sent properly and efficiently transmitted to MGH Teleradiology for interpretation.Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment in department according to established guidelines to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.
Performs diagnostic imaging for Pain management MD using a C-arm to confirm needle placement. The primary objective is to obtain high quality x-ray images and maximize the efficiency of the doctor while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a consistent level of quality.
