West End Salon & Spa is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our salon operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients, and assisting stylists with various tasks. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the beauty industry and eager to learn and grow within a salon setting.
Responsibilities:
Greet clients as they arrive and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including stocking supplies, laundry and managing inventory.
Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems.
Support retail sales by promoting salon products to clients and answering any questions they may have.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register duties.
Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Ability to stock shelves and maintain inventory in an organized manner.
Experience with product demos or sales is a plus but not required.
A passion for the beauty industry and a willingness to learn new skills related to salon operations.
